Your first visit to our office will consist of an oral exam and understanding the reason for your visit with us. We will take the necessary x-rays to get a better look at your entire mouth. This allows the dentist to check for any abnormalities that may exist.
After reviewing your x-rays, your dental and medical history will be discussed and an oral exam will be performed in order to check the soft tissue, gums, teeth and existing restorations, and look for decay. We will suggest a complete and comprehensive treatment plan that’s right for you. We will address immediate problems as needed and provide recommendations for long-term oral health so small issues today don’t turn into big problems in the future.
In the event that your dental treatment requires specialty services, we will refer you to the necessary specialist. We will stay in contact with the specialist, so that we will all work as team to treat your dental needs.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill out remaining patient forms. If you have a medical condition which requires premedication, please be sure to request a prescription prior to you appointment, or if you are unsure, please contact your medical office.
Your teeth cleaning may be performed at your first visit or might be scheduled for a follow-up visit depending on the condition of your teeth and gums. Every effort will be made to complete your cleaning right away.
